Projected Remainder Amounts Reports
This function lets you produce any of three related reports:
The Projected Remainder Amounts by Year report estimates how much each gift included in the report will distribute to your charity and when. The report also displays two present values of these estimated distributions.
Information in the report is grouped by year of distribution. You can optionally request that the report data be displayed by designated purpose within each year, and then by gift type within each designated purpose. This organization provides a powerful tool for analyzing how much income from planned gifts will be distributed throughout your organization and when. You can suppress the detail on each gift that is contributing to each year projected distribution if you wish by clicking the Show Gift Type, Designation, Organization, and Grand Totals Only.
The Projected Remainder Amounts report provides similar information to the Projected Remainder Amounts by Year report, but is organized by gift rather than by year. It also provides more detail on each gift. In particular, it lists the beneficiaries of each gift, which makes it easier to identify specific gifts.
The Gift Expectancies/Term End report estimates the number of years each gift included in the report will last beyond a specific date. This report is useful for making an educated prediction of when each gift will terminate and distribute its proceeds.
Bequest gifts included in the report
In order for a bequest gift to be included in any variation of the Projected Remainder Amounts report, the bequest must have a status of Current and at least one living donor. The purpose of the report is to project revenue amounts and timing for known bequest intentions.
You can use the Gift Summary to create a report of bequests whose donors have died. If you have Bequest Manager, you can also create a Bequest Pipeline report to review bequests whose donors have died but that have not yet distributed some or all of their funds to the charity.

Notes:
· For a gift to be included in the calculations, the following must be true in addition to any selection criteria entered in the function window:
Gift Date is less than or equal to Valuation Date
Gift Status is Current or Gift Status is Finished/Severed and Account Closed Date is greater than or equal to Valuation Date
Person Status of at least one associated person is Current/Missing or Person Status of at least one associated person is Deceased and Date of Death is greater than Valuation Date
· For gifts that will last for the remaining lifetime of one or more beneficiaries, the year they will distribute their proceeds to your charity equals their joint life expectancy. The joint life expectancy is based on your choice of two mortality tables.
· If you see an error log, fix the errors it identifies, and then run the report again.
You can print the error log or save the log in a file that you can print or review later.
· The report should be produced in landscape, the default orientation.
