Projected Remainder Amounts Reports

This function lets you produce any of three related reports:

Information in the report is grouped by year of distribution. You can optionally request that the report data be displayed by designated purpose within each year, and then by gift type within each designated purpose. This organization provides a powerful tool for analyzing how much income from planned gifts will be distributed throughout your organization and when. You can suppress the detail on each gift that is contributing to each year projected distribution if you wish by clicking the Show Gift Type, Designation, Organization, and Grand Totals Only.

Bequest gifts included in the report
In order for a bequest gift to be included in any variation of the Projected Remainder Amounts report, the bequest must have a status of Current and at least one living donor.  The purpose of the report is to project revenue amounts and timing for known bequest intentions.

You can use the Gift Summary to create a report of bequests whose donors have died.  If you have Bequest Manager, you can also create a Bequest Pipeline report to review bequests whose donors have died but that have not yet distributed some or all of their funds to the charity.

Notes:

· For a gift to be included in the calculations, the following must be true in addition to any selection criteria entered in the function window:

· For gifts that will last for the remaining lifetime of one or more beneficiaries, the year they will distribute their proceeds to your charity equals their joint life expectancy. The joint life expectancy is based on your choice of two mortality tables.

· If you see an error log, fix the errors it identifies, and then run the report again.

You can print the error log or save the log in a file that you can print or review later.

·  The report should be produced in landscape, the default orientation.
