Import Home Addresses can import data from a comma-delimited file (.csv) that was created using an ad hoc query in The Raiser's Edge 7 (RE 7). RE 7 must be installed as a client-server application, not as a hosted (by Blackbaud) application.
You must create the RE 7 ad-hoc query by following the instructions below precisely.
Fortunately, you need to create the ad-hoc query only once. Once created, you can save the ad hoc query for future use.
To create the import home addresses ad hoc query in RE 7:
1. On the Home page, click Query in the list of buttons on the left.
2. Click New Query in the Toolbar.
3. Choose Query Type = Constituent and Query Format = Dynamic. Click OK.
4. Click the Criteria tab. Choose the criteria listed below. For each one:
Find the criterion in the list on the left, then double-click it.
Select the operator and date/value for how the criterion should be evaluated, such as “equals This quarter.”
