Create BBEC Home Address Ad-hoc Query


Import Home Addresses can import data from a comma-delimited file (.csv) that was created using an ad hoc query in BBEC. You must create the BBEC ad-hoc query by following the instructions below precisely. Fortunately, you need to create the ad-hoc query only once. Once created, you can save the ad hoc query for future use.

To create the import home addresses ad hoc query in BBEC:

1. On the Home page, choose Analysis - Query.

2. Choose Add - Ad-hoc query.

3. Choose Record type: Constituent.

4. Click Source view: Constituents.  Click OK.

5. Choose Constituents, then click OK.

6. Choose Addresses under Browse for fields in, then drag fields from the Select Address fields pane to the Results fields to display pane in the following order:

7. Choose Phones under Browse for fields in, then drag from the Select Phones fields pane to the Results fields to display pane:

8. Choose Addresses again under Browse for fields in, then drag from the Select Address fields pane to the Results fields to display pane:

9. Drag from the Select Address fields pane to the Include records where pane the appropriate filter under System Fields.

For example, to select records that were changed by a specific BBEC user, drag Changed by user name. Alternatively, to select records changed before/after a specific date or during a specific date range, drag Date changed.

10. Enter the selection criteria for the filter selected in step (9). Click OK.

11. Click the Preview results tab to confirm that your ad hoc query is selecting records as expected.

12. Click the Set save options tab. Enter the name for the ad-hoc query, such as GiftWrap home address import. Make other selections and entries as desired, then click Save.
