Reset Market Values

Reset Market Values lets you reset the Market Value entry for a group of gifts to each gift's Deposit Amount entry. The Deposit Amount entry is the value that was deposited for the gift. This function also resets each Market Value Date to the Deposit Date.

A typical reason for resetting Market Values to their original Deposit Amounts is to correct past mistakes. Resetting these values lets you recompute gift Market Values from scratch.

Fixing mistakes in CashTrac CGA Market Values
If you make a mistake only in your last run of CashTrac CGA Market Values, do not reset gift annuity Market Values. Rather, restore your previous Market Values using the Maintain Historical Gift Values option. Then run CashTrac CGA Market Values again.

To reset gift Market Values to their initial values, follow the steps below.

1Click Utilities > Reset Market Values in the Menu bar.

2. Enter the selection criteria for the gifts whose Market Values you want to reset. Enter a custom filter to select a more specific group of gifts. There is help available on each field.

3Click OK.

4Click Yes to proceed with resetting Market Values to Deposit Amount values and Market Value Dates to Deposit Dates. Click No to cancel the process.

5Click OK .

Notes:

· The Reset Market Values function cannot be reversed once it is completed.
